Terms of Service

Slyck Flow is accounting software for UK sole traders and limited companies. It connects to your bank accounts through read-only Open Banking, categorises transactions, and produces estimates for tax, VAT, and dividends. The service is a tool to help you manage your finances and does not constitute professional accounting, tax, or legal advice.

You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of any business you add. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at hello@slyck.app.

When you connect a bank account, you authorise us, through our regulated Open Banking provider, to retrieve account and transaction information on a read-only basis. We cannot move money or initiate payments. You may withdraw consent and disconnect an account at any time. Bank consents expire periodically and require re-authorisation to keep syncing.

Tax, VAT, dividend, and other figures produced by the service are estimates based on the data available and general rules that change over time. They may not reflect your full circumstances. You are responsible for verifying figures and for your own filings. Always consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser before making financial decisions or submitting returns to HMRC.

• Use the service only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms
• Not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service
• Keep your own records as required by HMRC and applicable law

Where the service or certain features are paid, the applicable fees and billing terms will be presented to you before you subscribe. We may change pricing on reasonable notice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

We own all rights in the service, including its software, design, and content. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your business. You retain ownership of the data you provide.

We aim to keep the service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, and may carry out maintenance that temporarily affects availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from your reliance on estimates produced by the service, errors in third-party data, or your tax filings. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we will handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “last updated” date. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
